Storey Kenworthy Foundation of Giving

A TRADITION OF GIVING

For over 80 years, giving back and supporting the communities where we work and live has been a top priority for Storey Kenworthy.

"Through our family of companies, we provide quality products, services, and experiences to meet our customers' unique needs.  Together, we provide an engaging work culture to inspire team members contributions and to create value in the communities we serve!"

All across the state of Iowa, whether serving on a Board of Directors, swinging a hammer, or mentoring at-risk teenagers, our employees are involved in their local communities.

Storey Kenworthy Volunteer Time Off (VTO)

Storey Kenworthy encourages employees to be actively engaged in non-profit giving and supports this effort by providing all employees Volunteer Time Off (VTO).

All full-time team members of Storey Kenworthy are encouraged to utilize up to 8 hours of VTO per fiscal year.  Team members may expend VTO in as little as  2 hour increments with organizations and causes approved by their supervisor and in line with company's core values and giving priorities.  If your organization is interesting in sharing a VTO opportunity with our team, please click HERE to provide additional information.

GIVING BACK, A FOUNDATION FOR GIVING

Grant Program:
Storey Kenworthy Foundation for Giving  grant program was created in 2016 to provide selected nonprofit organizations located in Iowa with financal assistance to further their programming for the betterment of our local communities.  To read more about our Foundation of Giving Grant Program and review the application please Click Here.

Sponsorships and Donations:
Storey Kenworthy is proud to support our local communities and business partners through sponsorships, donations and in-kind support.  To read more about our Corporate Sponsorship and Donation program and review the application please Click Here.

Customer Free Gift Donation:
In 2015, Storey Kenworthy brought together the philanthropic power of our customers, our vendors, and our employees to raise funds for Iowa-based non-profits. Employees are encouraged to nominate charities for which they are passionate and six organizations are selected on an annual basis as the focus of our corporate giving.

Our customers have the option to give back with us as well! Instead of choosing a free gift as a thank you for an order, they may choose instead to donate to the featured non-profit organization. Additionally, we partner with our vendors to provide free sample packs to customers. For each sample pack that is provided, the featured vendor donates $5 to the selected non-profit of the month.

Over the past few years, Storey Kenworthy has also partnered with the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa to purchase thousands of boxes of cookies – funding a great organization and providing a delicious "Thank you" for our customers!

Storey Kenworthy is pleased to take part in Blank Park Zoo's Plant Grow fly program. Our Des Moines location held a planter contest contest.  Eight teams competed all summer sending to their planters.  Congratulations to Team Three Amigrows on their award winning planter.  Our Ames location is preparing the field next to the building and reseeding it with plants pollinators love!  Pictures to come.   To learn more and see what you can do, please visit the Blank Park Zoo's Conservation page Here.
